WATCH: Camila Cabello releases Made in Miami documentary about her rise to stardom

Pop star Camila Cabello has had a fantastic year. Not only has she seen huge solo success since leaving Fifth Harmony, she has had a number 1 album in over 100 countries around the world. Now the singer has just released a revealing documentary on YouTube following her rise to fame from South Florida to a world famous pop star.

The 17-minute long video includes interviews with Camila's parents who speak about their decision to move from Cuba to the USA, when she was just five or six. It also features interviews with her extended family and friends who describe the Cuban community in Miami as being very close and supportive.

Speaking about the new documentary, Camila said in a statement, “Thank you to YouTube for supporting me on my journey and for putting together such an incredible documentary. I’m so proud of my family and our story and I hope it inspires others to believe in themselves and pursue their dreams. Thank you to everyone who contributed.”

Made in Miami follows a young Camila to her X Factor audition where she was chosen to join Fifth Harmony, and eventually became a solo superstar. She explains why she decided to leave the group and recounts how she was so nervous about going into the recording studio by herself.

The video also features an interview with singer and songwriter Charlie XCX who admitted she "made all of the classic assumptions" that Camila was from a girl group who was put together, so she wouldn't have much writing experience, however that wasn't the case.

In the hours after posting her documentary Made In Miami, the pop star took to YouTube again for a live Q&A session where she answered questions from her fans. She covers everything from why she loves Miami so much and her new dog, to her choice of eyeliner!

Camila is due to start her UK tour soon and fans are convinced that Taylor Swift and Camila will be touring together later this year.

Eagle-eyed fans have noticed that Camila will be in the UK at the same time as Taylor, and many think the two could be teaming up, with Camila supporting Taylor on tour.

Two days before Taylor is due to start her 'reputation' tour in the UK, Camila starts her tour in the UK. Then after two dates in Glasgow and Birmingham, she has two days off, conveniently when Taylor has her two Manchester dates!

Camila was recently in the UK for the BRIT Awards and before taking to the stage we caught up with the 'Havana' singer to test her knowledge of British slang. Our reporter Lucy asked her if she knows the meaning of words such as the 'boot' of the car, 'fortnight' and 'peckish'. You might be surprised at some of her answers!
